I’d say the new tyrant and encounter cards add just the right amount of challenge without making the game feel unfair. The only small downside is the box doesn’t quite fit perfectly with the base game insert, but the content itself is solid.

Finally got this to the table with 3 players and the new gearloc skills really changed up our usual strategies. Setup took a bit longer than I expected with all the extra chips, but the gameplay was smooth once we got rolling. Solid addition if you already enjoy the base game.

I was excited to add this to my collection, but the rulebook is a bit of a slog to get through. The new gear cards are cool, but the setup takes a while. It’s a solid expansion, though, just not a must-have.
