A clear FAQ on what the Satchel Quest Deluxe Edition includes, how the wood token set changes play, and what to know before pre-ordering the Kickstarter version.
Quick answer
The Satchel Quest Deluxe Edition Plus Wood Token Set bundles the core game with upgraded components—including a vellum-wrapped market board, dual-layered player boards, customer wood chips, four embroidered bags, and the Kickstarter-exclusive City of the Mad Tyrant Adventure Path. It is a pre-order with an expected delivery of December 31, 2026, so it suits players who want the enhanced tactile experience and exclusive content rather than the standard retail release.
Why the wood token set matters for gameplay
The wood token set replaces standard cardboard tokens with customer wood chips. These chips are thicker and more durable, making them easier to pick up and move during play. The added weight and texture also give the game a more premium feel, which can enhance immersion for players who enjoy tactile components.
What the Kickstarter exclusives add
The Deluxe Edition includes the City of the Mad Tyrant Adventure Path, which is not available in the standard retail version. This exclusive scenario offers additional replay value and a new challenge for players who have already explored the core game. The embroidered bags also help organize components and add a thematic touch.
Pre-order timing and delivery expectations
This is a pre-order for a Kickstarter-produced game with an expected delivery date of December 31, 2026. Keep in mind that Kickstarter projects can experience delays, so it's wise to plan for potential shifts in the schedule. If you need the game sooner, the standard edition may be a better fit.
