Discover how the Barrage: The Nile Affair Expansion adds a new map, tokens, and rules to your base game. Learn what's included and what to expect.
Quick Answer
The Barrage: The Nile Affair Expansion introduces a new map and additional tokens that offer a fresh strategic challenge for up to four players. It requires the Barrage core game and is available as a Kickstarter pre-order special.
What makes this expansion different from the base game?
The Nile Affair Expansion adds a completely new map board, which changes the geography and resource distribution compared to the original Barrage map. This means you'll need to adapt your strategies, as the new layout offers different opportunities for dam construction and energy production.
Because the expansion is designed for 2 to 4 players, it scales well for both smaller and larger gaming groups. The new map is not just a cosmetic change; it introduces new tactical decisions that veteran players will appreciate.
What do you need to play?
The expansion includes one map board, two punchboards for tokens, and a rules set. However, it does not include the core Barrage game, so you must already own the base game to use this expansion. The tokens are used to set up the new map and track game elements.
This is a Kickstarter pre-order special, so it's designed for backers who want to enhance their Barrage experience with exclusive content. If you're new to Barrage, you'll need to purchase the core game separately.
